On 11.17.17 Fieldy Arvizu - bassist from Korn - released his first instrumental bass album, "Bassically". My guitar playing is featured on track 14 "Give me 5". The album also includes contributions from the likes of Ray Luzier (Korn, Army of Anyone, David Lee Roth), Brian Welch (Korn), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Anthony Quiles (Q-Unique, The Arsonists, Stillwell, Kings Bounty), Wuv Bernardo (P.O.D.), Chris Collier, and Sebastian Paquet. I wrote song demos for StilLwell before their first album came out, and produced vocals for their cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" on the Dirtbag album. Click HERE or the photo below for more.
I was lead guitarist in Finespun for 2 1/2 years. We rehearsed a lot, gigged locally and played throughout the country. The band sound was hard rock. We mostly played music from the albums they released before I joined, but we did write and record an album together. We played some of those new songs live, but the recorded album was never released. If you'd like to know why, click the link below.
We rehearsed a lot and played shows when we could. I got to play a lot of solos. There's recordings floating around somewhere, but the band never made it into the studio to record while I was playing with them. This band had a throwback-rock sound.
We rehearsed a lot and gigged when we could. Parties, clubs, open mics, bars. The combined list of cover songs I played in these bands was easily in the hundreds. UTC was a full band, 2'fers was an acoustic trio. We did studio recordings of cover songs with UTC but never released them. There might be some live recordings somewhere, too.
My first real original band. It evolved from one thing, into another, where I worked really hard and wrote and recorded endless demos. We never had a consistent/full lineup, so nothing was ever released. But I have tons of demos recorded. This band was metal.
Contact me if you'd like to collaborate on a recording, or if you need a dependable live performer. I'm available for fill-in gigs, live work and sessions of all styles, bringing pro gear, sound, and stage presence.
I bring a professional approach to a recording session and live gig. Whether it's guitar or bass, mixing or engineering, live or studio. In the studio I work efficiently to produce superior quality tracks, laced with clean takes that are full of tone, and on stage I bring a dynamic live performance. As a performer, it's a combination of experience, gear, preparation, confidence. In the studio it's adaptation; being able to do what is asked and make changes during the session. In both scenarios, you have to execute. Whatever the job is - whatever 'hat you're wearing', you have to know how to produce, and do it at a high level.
I have performed with and done session work for local artists and bands in the New York/Long Island area, as well as established touring bands. Styles have ranged from commercial jazz and jingles, to melodic rock, hard rock, alternative rock, and metal. I'm always looking to work with new artists, bands, and musicians on every level!
